Each book presents its own betrayals, wars, personal battles and development, each with fantastic writing. The over arching story is one of evil vs good, though a little more nuanced than this basic observation. The synopsis (which certainly does not do this series justice), is that you follow the main character Corban, along with his friends and family throughout the Banished Lands.
